Go crazy in grape-y goop at the annual St. Josef’s Winery and Vineyards Grapestomping Festival. Every September, St. Josef’s celebrates crush season with a good old-fashioned wine stomp in a humungous 1,200-gallon oak barrel (that’s about 5,000 bottles of wine!). You’ll likely work up a sweat and a hunger so there’ll be plenty of St. Josef’s special recipe sausages and their famous sauerkraut, along with other locally-inspired fare. Stay for the German music and sip on special reserve wines and new releases.
Children under 18 get FREE admission. For those 21 and older, you’ll pay $10 and get a souvenir glass.
Their winery tasting room is open weekends year-round Fri-Sun 12-5pm if you want to stop by another time for a tour and tasting.
