Day 1
Kick off the day at French Prairie Gardens (A), a fully operational family farm located just outside the quaint town of St. Paul. Take in the beauty of the garden center while enjoying a freshly baked treat from the on-site bakery. The lush greenery is all grown in-house and the bakery offers daily masterpieces like fruit pies and vegetable breads.
Next, unlock the secrets behind how fresh cheese is made at TMK Creamery (B). Take a personal tour, meet the cows and calves and see where they live, milk and eat. You’ll catch a glimpse of what life is like on a dairy farm and get yummy cheese samples—all from the cows you just met!
Head to Fir Point Farms (C) to discover 35 acres of farm animals and scenic trails that take you through an Oregon forest. Tetherball and other kid-friendly activities are available as you pick corn, cucumbers, tomatoes, zucchini, apples and more! The country store is a great place to snag gifts like local produce and jams, or lunch from the deli and bakery.
End the day at The Kitchen at Middleground Farms (D) to learn the fundamentals of cooking and the lost arts of crafts and preserves. This recreational cooking school offers dinner in their garden and cooking classes, so you can rediscover what it means to gather together and host a unique dining experience for your closest loved ones.
Day 2
Indulge in life’s simple pleasures at Tollen Farm (E), where the beauty of trees and flowers surround a century-old farmhouse. You’ll run into llamas, Arabian horses and Mediterranean donkeys while you enjoy the picturesque Willamette Valley, before finding treasures at their store.
Hop out to Frog Pond Farm (F) for a drive-thru farm safari. You will find a wide range of products and activities during each season suitable for the whole family, like the friendly camel you can meet and interact with!
Terra Vina Wines (G) awaits after a 20-minute drive over the Willamette River, where you can taste wine from the first vineyard in the Willamette Valley to grow Dolcetto and Cabernet Franc varietals. Be sure to sample their signature red wines.
Make an appointment to stop by the Barn Owl Nursery Herb & Lavender Farm (H) and awaken your senses with nearly 100 types of lavender flowers. From dried lavender bundles, to culinary lavender or teas and oils, there is an herb for everyone. The nursery has perfected their craft over the last 40 years, so you can rest assured your experience is as authentic as it is aromatic.
Complete your farmlandia adventure with a visit to Our Table Cooperative (I) and find delicious food and groceries. If you plan accordingly, you can cap off the day with one of their farm-to-table dinners, named by USA Today and Travel + Leisure as a “Farm Dinners Not to Miss.”
