Day 1

Skate into the morning at the Sherwood Ice Arena (A) perfect for special occasions like a birthday or a family fun day. Whether your family has a budding figure skater or hockey player, this cool arena offers instruction and a place to create memories year-round.

Next, ditch the puffy jackets and gear and opt for a farm walk at Frog Pond Farm (B). New farm “walk-abouts” let visitors experience farm life, firsthand. Depending on the season, you’ll find a pumpkin patch or tree farm.

Town Center Park (C) is a short drive west, where you can dive into the heart of Wilsonville. This is the perfect place to rest after an active morning. Check out the water feature or take a detour to the on-site Oregon Korean War Memorial. Wilsonville is full of historical sites like these. Cap off lunch with frozen yogurt at a local favorite, Peachy Berry (D).

Spend the afternoon at Bullwinkle’s Wilsonville (E) to play, eat and party! With a 16-lane bowling center, frog hopper ride and miniature golf, this destination is as energetic as it is family centric. Soar through Wilsonville on a zip-line, test your courage on a sky trail, dive into virtual reality with laser tag, or explore the arcade and kid zone!

There’s no need to leave the action to refuel. Bullwinkle’s has a restaurant in-house that serves everything from party shareables to pizzas and entrees. Check out the play packages to find a deal that’s right for you.

Stroll through the fresh air and forest-lined pavement at Graham Oaks Nature Park, where there’s enough space for the whole family.

Day 2

Get ready for a day packed with natural scenery and outdoor action. Take in the fresh Pacific Northwest air at Graham Oaks Nature Park (F). The scenic 250-acre reserve features a paved, stroller-friendly trail. Surround yourself with lush groves, singing birds and wildlife. Each year you return, you’ll notice sapling trees growing taller and taller.

Next, cross the river to Pat’s Acres Racing Complex (G) and tap into your family’s competitive spirit. Rent a kart or bring your own. Your family can choose the “All Out” option or go for a casual loop around the track. Group pricing is available for birthdays and reunions.

If timed right, you’ll be close enough to the Clackamas County Fair & Rodeo, where horse shows or the seasonal fair take place. These grounds are also home to the Oregon Renaissance Faire, where you can immerse yourself into the Renaissance era with Scottish sights, sounds, performers and crafts.

Day 3

A stay in Wilsonville puts you close to well-loved regional attractions. It’s ambitious to do all three of these in a day—but your family might be up for the challenge!

Fondly known to locals as “where the fun never ends,” Oaks Amusement Park (H) offers 24 rides, from a classic Ferris wheel to a free-fall plummet drop. Check out America’s oldest roller rink, where you can bring your own music or enjoy retro top 40 hits from the pipe organ. Complete your experience with classic carnival games and take home a prize.

About 1.5 million people discover the Oregon Zoo (I) every year. The most-visited paid attraction in the Pacific Northwest pulls back the curtain on West Coast wildlife and conservation efforts. Your family can see 64 acres and 2,585 animals across 215 species of birds, mammals, reptiles and amphibians. Wander through a one-way path of botanical gardens lined with exotic plants between your visits to the Africa Rainforest, Eagle Canyon, the Penguinarium and more!

A trip to nearby Portland isn’t complete without taking the family to Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (J), one of the nation’s leading science and technology centers. Observe the universe and discover the secrets of the sky at the planetarium. Experience a day-in-the-life on a real submarine and immerse yourself through jungles and the deep sea at the Empirical Theater, the largest screen around.

Continue your excursion north and swing by the Washington County Fair during the summer for classic fair food and carnival fun.
